#Wishlist: Carl F. Bucherer’s New Manero Flyback
On our wishlist is the new Carl F. Bucherer timepiece—Manero Flyback—with a champagne gold dial. The watch is an addition to the brand’s Manero collection, a range popular for its design complications—moonphase, tourbillion, and perpetual calendar (to name a few).
Designed for Baselworld 2017, the latest Manero Flyback comes with an 18k round rose gold case. As the name suggests, the watch is a flyback chronograph. Flyback is a watch complication that allows the wearer to reset the functioning without stopping the timepiece. Unlike regular watches, where, in order to reset the time, one has to stop, reset and restart it. The timer and the two subsidiary dials on its face come in a deep shade of gold. It also has a tachymeter scale, an instrument that measures speed, based on travel time.
The Manera Flyback comes with a cognac-coloured alligator leather strap fixed with a rose gold pin buckle. Its design aesthetics are influenced by Bucherer’s new ‘distinctly golden’ presentation that was unveiled earlier this year at the Baselworld. The shades of gold in the chronograph celebrate the baroque heritage of Carl F. Bucherer’s home city, Lucerne.
The Manero Flyback will be unveiled at the Baselworld 2017.
